About the Role:
The Trade Show and Events Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Bushbalm's participation in trade shows, conferences, educational and retail events. This role will own the event experience from start to finish, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the Bushbalm brand while driving awareness, customer acquisition, and business growth.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for creating memorable brand experiences.
The Trade Show and Event Manager is a new role. It will be reporting directly to the Senior Sales Manager.
The starting salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 CAD.
Responsibilities:

Develop and manage Bushbalm's annual trade show and event calendar.

Identify and evaluate new event opportunities that align with company objectives.

Manage event timelines, deliverables, and post-event reporting.

Lead end-to-end planning and execution of trade shows, regional trainings, conferences, and industry events.

Coordinate booth design, signage, displays, promotional materials, and product sampling programs.

Oversee shipping, logistics, inventory management, and event setup/teardown.

Ensure all events are executed on time, within budget, and aligned with brand standards.

Work closely with the Marketing team to develop engaging event experiences.

Support the creation of event-specific marketing campaigns and promotional materials.

Ensure consistent brand representation across all event touchpoints.

Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution.

Track event performance, lead generation, sales impact, and ROI.

Prepare post-event reports with recommendations for future improvements.

Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors and event partners.

Coordinate internal event staffing and schedules.
Who You Are:

3+ years of experience in trade show management, event marketing, or related roles.

Proven track record of successfully planning and executing large-scale events.

Experience managing budgets, vendors, and event logistics.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

Proficiency with project management tools [Monday.com, Hubspot] and Google Workspace.

Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as required.
Nice to haves

Experience in beauty, skincare, wellness, or consumer packaged goods (CPG).

Experience working with retail partners and industry trade shows.

Familiarity with event analytics and ROI measurement.

We do have staff who work remotely, but our HQ is in downtown Ottawa.
We're still a small, tight knit team. Most of our team is located in Ottawa, Canada, but we now have employees spanning across the world remotely.
To date, Bushbalm is in over 5,000 waxing salons, and on shelves nation wide at Ulta Beauty.
We're growing our team and departments at a fast pace. Our most mature departments are Marketing and Product Development.
Other departments that are well established include Operations, Customer Service, Design and Finance.
Our team is primarily headquartered in Ottawa, Canada.
We're open to remote candidates, but would like to hire first in Ottawa, so we can gather easily. In regards to your workday, we are a flex model and allow employees to work remote when they wish.
