About the Role:

In this newly created role, you will be a results-driven Business Development Representative who will be working on converting inbound leads which are made up of Waxing Salons, Solo Estheticians and Spa Locations into paying Customers. This role focuses on guiding the Prospect through their first purchase while maximizing the order value through strategic upselling and product recommendations.

The salary expectation for this role is $40,000 CAD + up to $30,000 CAD in commission.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Sales Manager to take inbound leads. 
  • Conduct daily high volume prospecting to generate qualified leads (between 20 to 40 calls per day) and social selling (e.g. via Instagram and SMS).
  • You will be going through our Sales Motion to bring new applications to customer salons in less than 60 days. 
  • Demonstrate product and industry knowledge as a subject matter expert to communicate the value of Bushbalm to estheticians and spa owners. 
  • Convert Leads into first-time Customers.
  • Drive higher average order value through upselling and bundling.
  • Attend trade shows to meet new and existing Professional partners to drive increased brand loyalty and revenue. 
  • Use a CRM to maintain a clean funnel to help consistently convert new clients. 
  • Use a CRM to maintain sales prospecting efforts and run weekly reports that will be reviewed by the leadership team.

Who You Are:

  • You’re passionate about sales!
  • Have a minimum of 1 year with relevant sales experience. 
  • Have closed SMB deals before. 
  • Strong communication and objection handling skills.
  • Ability to upsell and increase orders.
  • Know how to handle a lead pipeline that’s rapidly growing. 
  • You’re a great communicator with business owners and estheticians. 
  • Experience using a CRM (e.g. Salesforce, Hubspot).
  • Experience in beauty, spa, or salons is considered an asset.

We do have staff who work remotely, but our HQ is in downtown Ottawa.

We're still a small, tight knit team. Most of our team is located in Ottawa, Canada, but we now have employees spanning across the world remotely.

To date, Bushbalm is in over 5,000 waxing salons, and on shelves nation wide at Ulta Beauty.

We're growing our team and departments at a fast pace. Our most mature departments are Marketing and Product Development.

Other departments that are well established include Operations, Customer Service, Design and Finance.

Our team is primarily headquartered in Ottawa, Canada.

We're open to remote candidates, but would like to hire first in Ottawa, so we can gather easily. In regards to your workday, we are a flex model and allow employees to work remote when they wish.
